I just purchased 2 very nice prints of original artwork by the artist Darrell Mayabb. They'll be the focal points of my new little office I am currently building at the new detail shop.
I called Darrell and placed the order with him today. He's such a cool and inspiring guy! We spoke for awhile about the history of the art I'm buying, as well as our love of cars, hand-pinstriping (which he said has been around since the days of chariots!), and even Von Dutch himself.
Darrell has done work for PPG, Hot Rod magazine and many others. He was kind and gracious in our conversation and spoke about the ability to do what you love and make money doing it, despite doubts and criticism from those close to you.
