Tech Support Contract Options?

I think I am the reason that Mark VII has it in their system. No sooner than we opened our wash back in '96 we had issues with the wind blowing the soap away. I told my distributors main nerds to figure out a way to cycle the exit door when I needed it. Some time later it was put into the program because of their input. I also had them wire it so that the door thermostat kills the heater thermostat when the temp rises to "doors open" status. This way I can set the heat as warm as I want and not have to worry that it may be running after the doors stay open.

I definitely want the entrance door open as much as possible since some interpret a closed door as a closed wash.

I don't understand any of that stuff but I know that if Ryko added that feature to their software I would buy it. I want the door open as much as possible too but getting soap on the car is a pretty important part of the process.

Jim,
I am saying this is something you can do without software. Do you want it to work automatically or manual?

Wouldn't it have to be manual? How could it know when it's windy? It would be nice if the door would reopen during the dry cycle. That way we wouldn't lose any door time. That would have to be part of the software wouldn't it? My bug spray blows right out the back door fairly often and friction without soap is not a good thing. I'm amazed that every manufacturer has not addressed this issue. The wind blows hard in Kentucky because Tennesee sucks.

Manual would be easy, all you need is a switch. I was saying you could use a deice that monitors wind speed to make it close automatically. No need for any software just external devices.

I will check with my tech and see if he can do it next time he is here. I guess having it open during the dry cycle is more complicated so it would reopen just like in winter?
Thanks

In the spring summer and fall I set the exit door thermostat on my Rykos high so that if the wind is blowing and can use the door kit during windy days to only control the exit door. My electrician has wired several fountans and they all have a wind sensor that will shut them down if the wind gets to high. It would be simple to add into an exit door but I have always done like Pat and just do it manually.

Contacted my guy this morning. He's going to get the stuff so he can do it next time he's down. All this time I thought that was going to be a huge big deal. Guess I should have asked you smart guys sooner.
Sorry about hijacking your thread Waxman!
