I have a steel framed panelized building constructed by Hydrospray in 2002. 3”x3”, 3/16” steel tube constructed with plywood and FRP. It’s time to address the wall coverings and I figure this is a good time to inspect the steel structure. I’m anticipating corrosion that will require steel members to be replaced. Mostly concerned about the sill plate. Thoughts on repair methods? I’m thinking concrete block walls around the existing steel frame up to the roof trusses.
Seems like repairing bad sections with new steel will just have me doing this again in the future….
