I am having some issues with Spot free in one of my locations.. It works sometimes.. than leaves spots other times. What are the typical recomentations for maintining a spot free system..
How often do membranes need to be cleaned.. any certain type of salt recomended?
If you're only spotting sometimes, you probably have a bad check valve in a bay letting soap back to the tank or the pump feed lines. Start checking the product every day to make sure the system itself is working properly.
I would not recommend cleaning a membrane, especially not as a routine maintenance. When you clean one, you will usually get a higher TDS from it. They aren't that expensive and they last for years if you don't let chlorine to it - just let it fail and replace it.
