We are just finishing the design and build of our new Junior line of in-the-wall 18-selection vendors which will be shown for the first time at the WCA show in Las Vegas, Oct 6, 7. This style of vending machine usually installs flush against the wall of the equipment room (like a change machine) and does not have the "Sore Thumb" attributes which we think it needs.
This new vendor will project out from the wall 2-inches to give the installation a small profile which should make it more easily seen. The lights mount on both sides and the top of the vendor with the controller for the lights being mounted inside the machine. The controller allows the operator to select any of 8 different modes of chasing lights to present to his/her customers. These lights will attract the attention of customers from as far as 50-feet away on either side and from the front also. It is especially visible at night.
We tried these lights mounted on the inside of the window of the cage or vendor some 5-6 years ago, but the distraction to the customer and the interference with video cams made it necessary to take the lights out of the machine. The lights were not visible from the side like the new ones are. This time the customer will be attracted TO the vendor, but they will not distract the customer as he/she looks at the selections available in the vendor.
These new lights will be available on the top and both sides of new cages and will be available as retrofit kits on existing vendor installations. These light fixtures are all powder coated white.
