I thought some of you might be interested in seeing this bladeless fan by the guy that invented the Dyson vacuum cleaner.

Very interesting, although he never does demonstrate the velocity of the output. I bet it won't blow as much as a $20 K-Mart fan on high. It doesn't oscillate either.

Also, he calls it blade-less....well it does have an impeller which technically is blades.

There are a couple of advantages if it does work... no stubbed children's fingers in the blades, easier to clean.

I wonder if he can sell the equalivelant of a $20 fan for $125? A few years ago my mom bought a Dyson vacuum for $450 and hated it... she is much happier with her $100 Hoover.

Great marketing though, I'm sure someone will buy them.
