Since reopening after our huge remodel in October 2024, we have had an issue that I can't seem to figure out. I'm hoping it is fixable. The bay hoses get some tire cleaner, presoak, and air in them after shutting the bay off. Then, when turning it back on, of course, it puts out a little tire cleaner and presoak and has a loud crack sometimes because of the air being purged rapidly. This seems to happen even if you used rinse last. Also, when you shut it off, it just drains the hose in a few seconds. Originally, it was really bad when I had only 1/2 PSI cracking pressure check valves on the manifolds in the attic. After replacing those with Fluid Control 10 PSI cracking pressure CVs it helped, but it is still happening. Time went on, and we just lived with it. A few months ago, I noticed that if a bay didn't get used for nearly a day, the check valves would stick open a little bit. On one bay, I decided to replace the five CVs with Regos. We have been fairly busy, so the bays do not sit long, but that bay still has the siphoning issue that they all have. Somewhere I read on here that a boom swivel may not leak, but it may pull in air when shut off. On that same bay, I replaced the now nearly 2-year-old Parker swivel on the Etowah Valley boom with a Mosmatic swivel, and it didn't help at all. I'm starting to think about the tire cleaner and presoak delivery systems that I built. They are using 150 PSI Kip solenoid valves and Procon pumps. Could the vacuum from the water pulling on them when the bay shuts off be opening them up a tiny bit? I just thought of this, but what is the chance that they all have a little trash under the plungers from day one? I can check that easily next time we are slow. It is just a little bit of tire cleaner and presoak that it pulls. The thing I really notice is the air in the hose. Another thing that I think is related is that sometimes the high-pressure pump takes an extra few seconds to come up to pressure on the furthest bay.
