silicone and mso

I've been visiting a few chemical websites and some of them boast CCP's and DI's with no silicone or mineral seal oil. Is this for environmental/reclaim purposes, or are there other drawbacks to using these products?

You are correct on both counts. Mineral seal oil and Silicons have to be controlled in a reclaim environment. As well, some areas are very strict on what can be discharged. With the "Green" movement I'd suspect they (Manufacturers) are trying to be more environmentally friendly, or cash in on it anyway.
