Edit to add: Just measured the hole. 4.25”h x 3.5”W. Looks like it will work.A TapPlus is : 3"L x 2.5"W x 1.5"D
The TapPlus has a pretty prominent light show, esp. at nighttime.
If it is compatible, I would recommend mounting it flush with the stainless, not in that recess because it will block the light feature.
my 2 cents
I was thinking that Cryptopay had a list of machines that they worked fine on. There's more to it than just the circuit board being an MDB II.Will this MDB CryptoPay tap plus reader work with a ShurVend?
Also, does anyone know the dimensions of the reader? Cut sheet says “small footprint”
I need it to fit in this hole!View attachment 14027
This machine is from 2004 but the circuit board was replaced within the past 5 years. I have to double check with AMS.I was thinking that Cryptopay had a list of machines that they worked fine on. There's more to it than just the circuit board being an MDB II.
The way I look at putting readers on low volume machines is that they are spares that I have for the heavier usage machines. If there is ever an issue with the heavier usage readers, I'll take it from these lower use machines and install a temporary block off plate until I figure out the broken reader. The way I see it, I need spares no matter what, they are either sitting on the shelf or on a machine. This machine is from 2004 but the circuit board was replaced within the past 5 years. I also realized I need to add a swipes to my air machine. The thought of spending approximately $1000 to update the 2 machines that have the lowest ROI on the property is starting to lose its appeal
