shurflo

anyone tried these shurflo air drive pumps yet?

seems like it'd work well for my sputtery tri-foam and make it flow better.

thanks!

Why do you think your pump is causing a sputtery output? What's on it now?

I only see santoprene on Kleen-Rite's site - that may not hold up to a tri-foam soap. The santoprene FloJet on the tri-foam was one of the first things I had to replace. The viton one has been trouble-free for more than six years.

I have one flojet per color on my automatic (cobra) and it works fine. Rebuild your foam generators and really just pack the material in there. The back pressure from the restriction should take care of the pulsing.

(This should save you some money over a pump, and I know you like that)

Flojet pumps seems to not send a steady stream but pulses instead. Shurflo has a different design for more consistent product delivery and no lag/sputter.
I seriously doubt your "lag/sputter" is caused by the FloJet. Can you make a video of it working in the bay?

There doesn't appear to be anything different about the design of the Shurflo that would make it work any differently than a FloJet. All twin-diaphragm pumps are going to vary up and down on pressure as they work.

FWIW, they have the same pump at Kleen-Rite for $19 less.
