Self-serve bay tripped breaker

Alright for the past week I have been having a bay tripping a breaker.

  1. The motor is relatively new I believe its 3 years old
  2. The transformer is 1 year old.
  3. I turned off all the breakers for the other bays as well yesterday and my dixmor timers got stuck in a boot loop I had to try using quarters and my wash card to get the time to stay running long enough for me to push the motor contactors in for it to completely boot up.
  4. The closest i got to replicate the issue was when i restarted all the bays and the buzzers would make a weird noise while the dixmor was stuck in a boot loop. I dont know what else to check I thought I may have dropped a leg of power but I thought I would have more bays affected. Could the affected bay just have a contactor issue or am I looking past something else? I turn the bay on and it works 100% fine through all functions but when I leave it just cuts off and goes back down for the day.
  5. I did just get a foam gun system installed I dont know if that could be causing the issue but if im not mistaken this started happening after the system was installed.

Get out your volt meter and check the incoming voltage on each leg going into the contactor, check the voltage coming out of the contactor to the motor. Check your voltage coming out of the transformer, it should be no higher than about 27 volts. I don't understand about the Dixmor timer booting up. Try swapping the timer with another bay to see if the timer problem goes with the timer. Turn of the breaker to that bay and check all the wiring connections for tightness. If you have a clamp on Amp meter check the motor draw when it starts a few times.

Sweet will do!
