Hello - Looking for help troubleshooting a Ryko Maxx5 IBA top brush issue.
Code:
Symptom: Top brush comes up when the machine is idle. During/after the top brush wash cycle, it starts coming up but does not fully return up fast enough, then times out and stops the machine. The brush is physically not fully up when the fault happens. It comes back after some time. This usually happens on
Sedan-type cars.

Questions:
Code:
- 4-digit: 8927
- 2-digit: 27
- Description: TB #1 Down / Not Armed
- Possible causes listed: loss of air pressure or air solenoid stuck on

What we’ve done:
- Replaced top brush MAC valve with 35A-B00-DACA-1BA / R506A
- Worked for about 20 washes, then issue returned
- Top brush cylinder has two ports
- Only one hose appears to go from the MAC valve to the cylinder
- Other cylinder port has a needle valve
- Loosened needle valve; issue still persists
- Replaced top brush air cylinder
- Worked for about 3 cars, then issue returned
- Other brush air cylinders seem to work normally
Questions:
- Is this top brush normally controlled by a 3-way MAC valve with one hose, with the other cylinder port using a needle valve/breather?
- Could the issue be a restricted hose/fitting, MAC valve base/manifold issue, blocked exhaust path, or intermittent electrical command?
- Any guidance from someone familiar with Ryko Maxx5 / SoftGloss top brush setup would be appreciated.
