I think my LW4000 is about wore out (it's over 16 yrs old), it's starting to need alot of repair. would like to get some opinions on other touchless machines, pros & cons. thanks for your time.

Sounds like you missed the ICA show (so did I). Too bad; that would've been a good place to look at a bunch of machines.

For touchless IBA's I like Washworld's look and build quality.

Lots of guys like PDQ and Belanger, too.

For friction I like the Softgloss machine.

Why not get a copy of Sonny's 2012 case studies dvd for mini tunnels and look at that, too. I think they'll send you one free.

Have you checked with your PDQ distributor for a refurbed unit. There are certainly technological benefits to going new if the site supports it but it's not cheap.
Was in Vegas and Wash World has an impressive looking replacement. Price was well in the 70s as I recall. Didn't price the Laser or anything else for that matter.

another option

Anybody seen the new Ryko Pulse inverted L? I hear there are site(s) in the Des Moines area up and running...anyone know where?
