I can only tell you what we do. Replace the whole thing. I luv it when at the show someone shows you how easy it is to dissassemble and reassemble everything . Try it after a couple of years of gunk and corrosion and a couple of hundred thousand cars. Last I checked I was paying about $90.00 for OEM Flapan rollers. Tried once based upon a suggestion to replace all fungible parts on the frame. Wouldn't come apart unless a torch was used, and even then frame parts would still be worn leading to excessive wear on all new components.
Same applies to my AVW rollers. Never tried to take them apart. Just doesn't seem worth it to polish a turd.
