reject storage tank

I want to build a storage tank to use as much reject water as possible. I was thinking of using a 2-300 gallon tank and put a street water line in at about 50-75 gallon mark. Question I have is has anyone done this? And do any of you have a tank with a submerged float valve? I was thinking of putting a jobe float valve with the city water at the low level incase of over use of reject so as to not run dry.

I have done exactly that many times in the past. It hasnt been an issue with walters cleveland or bob valves. Havent tried with a jobe valve yet.
