I lost a transformer this year on one of my raypak boilers and replaced it with a spare transformer that I keep on hand for the Vacs. Just a small doorbell type of transformer.
The tech jumped 24 volts from the hi limit switch to the module and it started. He took off the jumper wire and it died. He re-started it and it's been fine since.
The theory now is water/ice in the regulator caused both boilers to shut down. Once I started to thaw the regulator, one kicked on but not the other, due to the fact that there was still inadequate gas flow with a still partially (?) frozen regulator. I guess if that pressure switch is just a little off, the pressure will not allow the switch to activate the igniter.
