Either your TDS or R/O TDS unit meter isn't accurate. Do you have another TDS meter you can retest?

I will give you advice.....If the vehicles are not spotting and you tested it yourself, leave it alone!

Test the water straight from the unit and at the arch with the same tester and see if there's a difference.

Perhaps the r/o water is getting contaminated on the way out? Does any other type of water go through the same lines? If so, maybe you have a solenoid opening up?

To really get an accurate reading, you need to buy a conductivity meter. Most TDS meters are not really accurate and can change from brands.

Thanks for all the help. My readout is in conductivity. That's why numbers are different. Next question; everyone says capture reject water from r/o, but what uses? I tested the reject water and tds is 500 and hardness is 28. What can you use this for?

Reject water is commonly used with cool down arches on conveyors, side blasters, underbody flush (love when they used to call them bottom blasters, and sometimes rinsing after the wash process before trifoams or sealants.

We do not have a water softener. Does that make a difference.

Soft water will give lower TDS output and will help the membranes last longer.

Check the RO product straight from the machine and at the arch, not the reject. That will tell you whether the product is getting contaminated somewhere to account for the different numbers between the machine and the reading at the arch.

The ro from machine and arch are the same. If the rejects water numbers are so bad (500tds 28 hardness) what use is it in the tunnel?
