Please show me how you build your foam brushes

Id like to see how people build their foam brushes. Ive worked at these car washes for almost 2 years now, and im slowly trying to improve the look and overall experience of the places. I attached a picture of our current foam brush setups, and again please keep in mind i didnt set any of these up, im just realizing that they look like absolute ghetto dogshit... Duct tape... Not professional at all. There is a hose clamp underneath the duct tape, the duct tape is actually there so customers dont cut themselves on the hose clamp... I want to rebuild all the foam brushes so they look more professional. Thank you in advance..1000012024.jpg

If I see a Carwash with hoses repaired with tape it sends me into an absolute RAGE!!!!

I use the same 3/8” high pressure hose with crimped on hose ends that I use for the high pressure gun. Customers can cut those low pressure hoses and bring the brush home with them. Cutting through the braided HP hose is considerably more difficult.

Other places I don’t want to see duct tape: vacuum hoses, over coin slots, holding bumpers on cars as it enters my IBA

Acceptable uses for duct tape: on seams of ducts and possibly holding the sole of your boot on for another day or 2 because you’re too cheap to buy new boots.

Just switch from Kleen-rite 3/8 brush hose to 1/4 single wire hose with great results. I got tired of their 3/8 brush hoses kinking and cutting off flow. Does anyone have a good recommendation to replace KR economy low pressure swivels brush swivels. Tired of these leaking in the swivel section after a month or so.

I use the JE Adam’s gun swivels for most applications, both at the gun/brush handle and the boom end of the hose.
3/8Mx3/8F. Kleenrite has their own identical version but I think the cost difference is so minimal I usually buy the Adam’s swivels

I use the coil hoses with swivels on each end and a piece of clear hose with threads like the one you pictured for a bend restrictor at the wand attachment end.

That is why I use the 3/8" wire braid HP hose for FB/ Years ago a lcal operator told me that was best choice to avoid kinking which also stops the weep.

We used to make hoses like Randy based on his prior recommendations, now we buy what Earl said and get long life out of the hoses

I use 3/8" parker push lock hose with a 90 degree swivel. No need for hose clamps, hose lasts over two years easily, and does not kink. I'll add a picture tomorrow if I remember to take one.

Ive had good luck with JE Adams swivels.
