Planning for a car wash business

Hi all,

I am planning for a new soft touch car wash n auto detailing business in India. As i am new to this field, i really need help form u guys, some information regarding to car wash and how to start this business and equipments and costs. I just spoke to 1 of the equipment supplier n he said its highly impossible to export to india n u need atleast 1 million to start this business. n i m really surprised wen i get this kind of ans. but i m decided to strat this business in another 6 months time. Is der anyone can help me regarding to this.

Sounds like you should talk to a fella named Bud Abraham. He has experience setting up carwashes and detail shops overseas.

He may prefer conveyorized washes to in-bay automatics, but I'd ask him.

Here on the forum he goes by "buda". You could PM him. He has a conveyor wash and has sold conveyor equipment through the years so be advised that he is very biased toward them.

I happened to be at some meetings last week with Bud and passed on the info in this post. He mentioned that India does not allow importing equipment from outside the country so almost anything you want to do will need to be done within the country.

Thanks a lot, even i PM to Bud regarding to this, he told me the same thing, n the good news s that i found a company that makes car wash equipments in India. I am really surprised when i saw that company manufactures car wash equipment (Soft touch n touch less) n even the prices are very less when compared with other international suppliers.
This forum is really helpful for me. Thanks to all whoever dedicated thier time to establish this forum.
