PDQ M5 recent install?

We have just started our 10 and 11th reload from PDQ 4k to M5. We started in 2019 replacing 4k we purchased in the 1990’s. All of these unit are used and I have seen other used M5 units quickly sell if I did not get them. Are other operators putting these used M5’s in also? We spend a lot of time fixing them back up with new parts but the machines are solid. The M5 work great in Chicago in my smaller self serve bays.
 
In N.C. there isn't anyone installing them. However I have a big customer that has probably 20 of them. As long as you stay on top of them with service they will last forever. I have 2 bays within 5 minutes of me that I service that have well over 750k washes on them.
 
FWIW, in terms of post - 4000 models, I always thought the M5 was better than the G5 and I know a lot of operators who chose them too- it was a solid model. I don’t know how many more reloads you have to do, but if you are buying used machines anyway, you might be able to start to find some 360’s that don’t need as much refurbishing to get back in good operating condition. By now the 360’s have been around long enough where you might be able to find them easier than M5’s, and again with less work needed.
 
Washnshine thanks for the tip. We looked into installing the 360 before we went with M5. Had two PDQ experts look at it. We don't have doors and most of our bays are too short to accommodate the 360. The M5 with the onboard heaters is only way to go in our existing wash bays. We wash all the way down to 0 Fahrenheit

In anchorage Alaska we run them a few of our washes and at the one I am currently working at we have six running and they seem to have little issues from time to time but for the most part they are fairly easy to work on
