PDQ G5 wash set up

I am new to the business, this is my current wash set up.

My manager wants to add another HPA instead of the SPR Soft water rinse on the third step.

Thoughts- how are your washes set up?



1 LPA:Soap 1 Presoak
2 IDW:Idle
3 SPR:Soft Water Rinse
4 LPA:Soap 2 Presoak
5 IDW:Idle
6 HPA:Soft Water Rinse
7 SPR:Soft Water Rinse
8 SPA:SPW:3X Foaming Wax
9 SPR:Soft Water Rinse
10 SPR:Soft Water Rinse
11 HPA:Soft Water Rinse

To much rinsing if you ask me.....And why use softwater......

Do I need the high pressure at the end? Which rinses can I eliminate?

I'm no expert by far but I would take out steps 2 & 3. I'm assuming by soft water you mean low pressure. I wouldn't think you need to rinse in between presoak applications. On mine I put the 2 presoaks on then have the dwell time. I understand letting the first presoak app dwell, I'm just not sure it's necessary. Also, I don't think you need the spot free rinse high pressure. I wouldn't rinse the presoak with low pressure no matter which way I went. Hope this helps.

typical set up for top wash with foaming wax would be similar to this

cycle

1 lpa:1 low pressure soap 1
2 lpa 2 low pressure soap 2
3 dwell
4 HPA: soft water wash
5 spw foaming wax/triple foam
6 spr soft water rinse
7 hpa sealer wax
8 spr spot free rinse
9 obd double pass dry
