Paper or Coin Tokens

I am thinking of offering tokens in my vending machine where you can buy several tokens at a reduced price. Which type of tokens would be better, paper token notes or token coins? Also, do I need special token coins for a hamilton acw4 autoteller or will any token work? I was also told that you cannot replace a coin mech in a hamilton autoteller with an IDX coin acceptor.

You can replace a coin mech in an ACW with an IDX, but you won't like the result. The biggest problem in your case would be that you're selling tokens that will only read as cash value, so someone can purchase cash value at a discount and redeem it in quarters from your ACW at full value.

I use IDX acceptors in my unitecs....we disabled the option to use it like a change machine a long time ago. It does not give change for tokens.

You can do that with a Hamilton Goldline too, but not with an ACW4 when you just replace the quarter acceptor with an IDX acceptor.
