Paloma ph-28 error code

Whale of a Wash

5 Washes 36Bays 2Vectors
My ph-28 is like 6 mo. old and now gives error code C8 78
they alternately flash between the two codes. Nothing with a
C8 appears in their trouble shoot online. It also stops giving hot
water when the code pops up randomly. I emailed paloma with
model and ser# no reply-- KR can barely tell me it's a paloma.
Any ideas?

John,

Hopefully, there is a specifically Poloma expert on the forum to assist you.

Not to change the subject too much on your POLOMA trouble shooting process ... last week the Hartford insurance boiler inspector told me that many of the tankless units don't meet government code. Did you or anyone else do any checking on that ... before I get in too deep into the buying of a tankless? The good news it sounds like they don't incur the inspection fees if they are less than 199k btu.

They banned the sale of the old-style units - newer ones have fan-forced air to the burner to lower NOx emissions and meet those codes.

Thanks Randy for the number-- the number i had was worthless. They said the 76 code means the board went out and it has a lifetime warranty.
They promptly sent a board out.
