Opinions on Wash Vending Machines??

We use multiple Laurel drop shelf vendors. Last year we sold over $7000 worth of products that nets $4600+ profit. We call it free money!
Curious on why you believe you are so successful with your vending? It seems feast or famine on this site with owners and vending? Do you think its price point, location of the vending, payment options? Can you comment more on your drop shelf vendors? What sells well, what doesn't? Are you in a higher income area or middle/lower income area? share alittle more if you don't mind.

of all the products listed, do the others sell as well as the towels? Are their any losers that don't sell well? In terms of payment options, would rank order your highest revenue? Tap vs. token vs. quarter.. Do you have a minimum price then for tap to pay for the little trees?
Little Trees are 2 for $3 (2 per shelf).
We're in a pretty busy area, they all do pretty good.
Tokens, Quarters, Tap.
decending order of popularity:
Towels
Black Ice
New Car
ArmorAll wipes
Pina Colada
ArmorAll 8oz Foam can
Wild Cherry
Simonize Window wipes
Gold

are the little trees, 3 per/package or 1 per/package?

Singles (72 per box) 2 per shelf
you want to buy the "Pouch paks". not the "carded" ones if you are using a drop shelf or glass front machine with Spiral dispensors
Its been a very long time since I've had drop shelf vendors but I don't think the carded air freshners will fit on the shelf. Plus, the card is just another thing for the customer to toss on the ground

I have vending across 4 sites, and I feel like mine do pretty well for in terms of revenue. I have 8 drop shelf Coleman system I inherited at one location, 2 Kleenview vendors at 2 other locations, and just a few drop shelf vendors at the 4th. Maintenance wise my guys take care of them so I can't really speak to how much of a pain they have been but they don't complain or say much other than update me when they have to restock them every week.

Since we're on the subject I noticed this promotion from KR

I dont know about installing them in the bays, I feel like that would promote customers to stay in the bays longer after they are done washing. Thoughts?

I have vedning machines across all my sites. Each unit costs between 8K (2020) - 11K (2025). One site I make close to 2K month. That site I order 2K vending supplies a month and gross 4K. Thats my best VENDING site but not my best location. Another site I make half that. A few others I make probably a quarter of that. Either way IMO you should offer anything that accepts money and can pay for it self within a year or two. Plus with such large machines you rarely have to stock them up so less work. I would say each machine pays my property taxes or close to it for each location. Demographics plays a huge roll. Surprisingly though from what ive seen personally the lower the income is in the area, the higher the vending sales are.

What vending items do well at your best vending site? What is your top seller?
