There are many high end, "expensive", high pressure automatics on the market. Has anyone found a less expensive option that has done a nice job?

I have several Ryko OHds that I like. They now call them Radius. This spring they were running a special of $59,995 installed for a machine with trifoam, wax, 2 step presoak etc. IT did not include the dryer or auto cashier. I have been running them for over 6 years and it seems like a great bargin to me when you compare it to many others. They have been very reliable with little down time. I also think that Wash World offers a good buy on their touchless automatics.

Ditto to Radius and Washworld. I am already scoping out new machines for eventual replacement of my Superior 700 (which has been super for me, btw) and I liked these machines. I've got the blowers and Goldline cashier, so I'd love a faster wash time, virtual treadle, etc. 60k seems like a fine price.

Nope; my trusty Side Trac is running great! I'd gladly use Superior again, but THEY DISCONTINUED MY MACHINE!!!!!! Too bad, cause I love it.
I think I said in my post that I'm planning for the future and that's why I'm researching autos now. Probably be ready for one in 6 years or so if things keep going like they have been.

I wrote a very specific response to this question which described the attributes and benefits of one OEM's friction in-bay model that I believe is one of the better systems in the market. However, Bill Pitzer found it necessary to remove my post because some cry-babies complained that I dissed high-end, touch-less in-bays as overly expensive and chemical and water hogs, which they are.
I believe that there are a number of friction units on the market that are far superior to high-end, touch-less in-bays in terms of purchase price and the quality of the end product. However, I am unable to describe them in this venue.

Many customers prefer touch free because they're scared of friction.
Many operators prefer touch free due to nearly zero damage claims, and their machine's years of reliable, steady service.
I understand your points and am sure they are legit. However, there are also valid points in favor of touch free. And, for the record, a lower priced touch free unit can still clean well and offer excellent reliability.
