OHD boost pump

During the weekend I noticed on my OHD that my Spot Free Rinse, Fresh Water Rinse, Wax applications are coming out pretty weak in pressure I replaced the Solenoid valves with new ones checked the lines for debris-nothing and still bad pressure with the pump running, could this be a sign that my booster pump is going out? if so can I replace it with a HP size bigger to get more pressure at the nozzles or am I going to have to just replace it with another original. It's a STA-RITE 2 HP boost pump

Steve-

Doesn't your RO have a separate pump on the RO stand? Also, the Parker solenoids that are OEM have a larger orifice than DEMA or other brands. Make sure you're not restricting the flow with a smaller opening. Is the pump pressure up to normal for your set-up? Good luck.

The boost pump does not supply RO water on any of my OHds. It is supplied by a seperate pump. If all three functions are low using 2 different pumps I would look for a kinked line or a line with a hole in it. All three functions will use the same manifolds so start to check there. If you have to replace the starite pump you can go with other brands that have similar output. I personally think the starite pumps are junk.

2 Questions:

1. If you switched your STA-RITE pump then who do you recommend for my OHD?
2. If I was to "rebuild" my impellars is it a difficult job to do myself or is it recommended I send it in?

Impellers are pretty easy to replace. I switched to Flow-Jets on low pressure and probably a look at Procon pumps would be a good replacement. I actually scrapped my old Gantry Automatics and purchased new inverted L OHD's. I only know of one company that uses Starite pumps and I don't like those pumps at all.

My sta-rite failed again,. 3-4 years old so not horrible but would like a better solution.

It runs all low pressure functions on my us2001. Its 2hp 10gpm 315psi max. Anything better for this application?

I wouldnt mind a few more gpm either.
