Oberdorfer Pump Rebuild

DPD36

Member
I recently replaced an Oberdorfer pump for the presoak on my Mark VII to the tune of $600. I would like to rebuild the old one and keep for a spare. Does anyone have a good idea on where to buy a kit? According to my distributor Mark VII doesn't offer a rebuild kit and the pump is made for Mark VII by Oberdorfer, so I don't have a Oberdorfer model #. My machine is a GT500 about 7 years old.

Forget rebuilding an expensive pump. Replace it with a Flojet pump. You will need to add an air solenoid to activate it and maybe a regulator to keep the pressure below 100 psi. Get rid of the expensive crap and put in things you can replace.

I was going to mention that Mac, but that was something that his distributor should have told him, that he could have saved $500 by going to a Flo-jet G57 pump.

Randy there are just too many short sighted/unknowing/uncaring distributors out there. This one is a no brainer. In today's economy that $500 could easily be a week's net profit.
