Oasis XP life

I’ve recently entered the carwash world by buying a used 5 year old oasis xp. I am curious on how long or how many washes I can expect this to last before buying a new unit. The xp has about 55,000 washes right now.

30 washes per day isn't bad. Means it's obviously doing a good job. I have heard great things about XP & Typhoon. Only used each 1x. Was very impressed.
However, I have no clue about the longevity. Sorry...

I’ve got my top wash running quite a few functions. Top wash is over 5 minutes without the dryer. Oasis support is amazing to work with and have helped me learn a lot!

Does wash counts matter yes but it's more about the maintenance the machine received and will receive over the counts. I have a wash with over 150K washes on it and I could still probably get another 10 years out of it without a problem.

On the XP your wearable/moving parts are going to be the red v rollers, drive gears, Igus/hoses, and hydraulic motors. There really is not a lot to it. If you haven't installed the machine yet I would change the v rollers, all proxies, and new hoses for the igus. Also the igus too if it is sagging. Hydraulic motors rarely go bad and the drive gears can wear out after some years but just look at them and see.

That machine still has a long life ahead of it.

5 minutes is a little long for that wash. It could definitely be sped up a little if that something you wanted to do.

Very informative thank you! Few things to follow up on. How can you tell if the v roller needs replaced? I know my adjustable arm moves a bit more than I feel it should and think the rollers may be the culprit. Also what is “igus”?

Igus is the brand of the energy chain which is the black moving track connected to your machine that rolls back and forth and carries all the hoses from the backroom to the machine.

The v roller assembly is made up of an axle, bearings, and the actual v roller. Most of the time it's the bearings that go bad. The v rollers get worn down if they wear too much on one side and/or the middle inside groove wears enough and widens it quite bit. You could buy a new v roller from oasis then compare it to yours to see how and if they are worn out at all.

I will do so thank you! So my energy chain seems fine but I do have to replace my one inch hp hose every 6 months due to the chain wearing on the hose causing it to bust. Do you have any insight on this issue?

Make sure the hose sits in the middle of the radius where the energy chain bends while the machine is in the home position. If its too long or too short it will cause it to wear out prematurely. Also use good hose. Parker 387 ST seems to last the longest for me. I usually get around 12 months out of a hose. Other hoses break from wear and rubbing on the igus. Parker 387 ST does not. It cracks from the water wearing it out as all these hoses are made for actually hydraulic fluid not water.

I will give that a try. Thank you for the advice! The machine I have I can tell had not been given the tlc that I have been. But I hope the more I learn about it the better I can take care of it making it last longer. Only other issue I’ve been having is the Presoak does not seem to come out strong. My adjustable arm Presoak 1 acts like it struggles to get enough water and air. I’ve checked the tip, Dema valve, and line. Not sure what else to check at this point.
