Recently replaced NO weep Solenoids. They seem to get extremely Hot.What are recommendations.

Randy always recommends the Asco valves. I have a wash with a lot of the N.C. valves, which are great. Many of the originals are still there after 22 years. I can't say the same for the N.O. valves. I've gotten no better service from them than anything else, and they are much more expensive and not repairable...sorry Randy. 
We’ve used an ASCO 8210G34 Normally Open solenoid valves on our weep system for years. They are an excellent valve only problem is they have gotten to be grossly overpriced and the repair kit is almost as much as a new valve. In the 30 plus years we’ve used them we’ve replaced one valve. The valve you don’t want to use is the DEMA 0414P, nothing but problems with those, pure junk. Any diaphragm type normally open solenoid valve should work fine. The solenoid coils will get warm to the torch, they shouldn’t get hot enough that you can’t hold your hand on them. Earl what solenoid valve did you install?

I agree with the quality of ASCO valves. I have rebuilt hundreds of them in the field on steam sterilizers and have seen some that were untouched for many years that were still functioning well. If they are the choice for medical and research equipment, it is for a reason.

I use the Dema O473P which is a pilot-actuated diaphragm valve and they've been problem-free. It doesn't hang and fail like the O412P, and it has a stainless steel seat unlike the ASCO. Yes, the coil gets more than warm when it's been energized for months but it doesn't seem to hurt them.

I had the Dema 0474P and they lasted a few years but then wouldn't close. So, I just tried the Dema SODO464PS24 and that is the one that got hot after a few days and kept running although I found some crud in it and I am going to put in a "Whole House" filter in line to prevent this. I see KR has the ASCO 1/2 in SA218 for $160.00 each. I may just have to bite the bullet. I see the GC325 is $91.92. I may try that first.
I tried the Asco NO valve for my weep based on all the feedback here and it's the worst experience I've ever had. Rebuilt the first one after just one year with the super expensive kit, replaced another one year later. I switched to the half price Dema NO valve that I had been using at my other wash with no issues for the past 6 years and not a problem since. Repair kits for the Dema are only about $10 and I haven't had to use it yet.
Lol maybe they should. I put in a brand new commercial washer at my hotel and 18 months after it was installed, water wouldn't stop running to the door. Opened it up and to my dismay there was a row of Asco valves.... I repaired it with a kit (just used the diaphragm, but they make you buy every single piece) since it was hard to access. Two months later a second valve diaphragm went out. There are 4 total, so if another one goes out I'm just going to replace them with Dema. I have no idea how they are lasting for years for some people. It is a Unimac large commercial washer.

Sami, those Asco valves probably have an easy life at the puny, small potatoes, washes like Randy's. They just don't hold up for us big-time operators.
