No Power to Rotary Dial

Hi all,

Here’s the short of my situation. Insert money and the Dixmor led 7 registers correctly and begins to count down. For some reason, the rotary dial does not seem to turn on any of the functions. It was recently replaced and hasn’t worked since (back up Coin door so not too urgent). Rechecked the wiring and all appears to be good. Is it possible the new rotary dial is defective?

Thanks

If you have an 8 position rotary switch, make sure that 11 & 21 are jumpered together. If it's a 10 position, make sure 10 & 20 are jumped together. With the timer counting down, check to see if you have 24VAC between 11 & 21 to neutral or 10 & 20 to neutral. Is it possible the new rotary switch is defective? Possible, but not likely.

thanks, it is a 12 position 3 stack.

If I'm not mistaken, on a 12 position rotary switch, they have letters instead of numbers. L1 L2 and L3 should be jumped together with the timed load wire hooking to them. Like Greg said, hooking up another timer that you know is working, will at least eliminate it as being the problem.

Start by checking for power between the common (Green wire) and timed load (White wire) from the timer, or try a timer from a different bay.
