I thought I'd add value to my little place by installing this. My Dad built some new A-frame signs for the wash and we thought a mat station would be nice using one of them.
Absolutely love the brush idea and may incorporate that into my wash. You don't have a patent on a brush with a chain on it do you?
Maybe having a stiff brush will eliminate the pounding of mats on whatever solid object a customer can find. However, you don't think that will decrease your vacuum use do you?
You could look at it both ways - taking the "glass half empty" view you might say it will reduce vac use, but offering something customers will appreciate and might come back for would be the "glass half full" approach.
I believe anything that gets or keeps the customer on the car wash lot is good.
No matter if it's a free service as the brush you will eventually get some discretionary money out of the customers pocket to spend at your wash and not at anothers.
Love the brush idea.
I think of it as adding value for the customer. And they mostly bang the dirtiest mats on my building end fixtures anyway, so not losing too much revenue IMO and saving my stuff from a dirty beating.
It's a thing that I would personally like at a carwash and I clean lotsa floormats in the detail shop every year so I know how to save time and do a good job at once.
Yes , I have applied for patent # 33Z098PP269. Titled:"Chained Up SS MAT Brush".
