A word on new generation chemicals that have arrived in the last year or two.
As stated on this forum in a lot of areas, I have been experimenting in 2023 with several new chemicals - Ultra concentrated products.
I am having GREAT success with these new products - thats not the issue.
What I am experiencing is equipment issues.
Injectors are not lasting as long
Diaphragms in solenoids dont last as long.
When they go they go fast!
You can titrate at 22 one day and 10 days later be titrating at 10 or lower on the same drum.
Injectors look ok but the venturi in the center is gone!
Doesnt matter whether its a Hydra Flex or a Rocket, or whatever, the draw rates slow down when they go!
Every serious car wash owner using these new ultra concentrated products needs to have a titration kit and a draw cylinder on hand to test regularly.
I know - this is nothing NEW but, I have noticed that the issues with these items seem to arrive quicker with ultra concentrates sitting in them.
Maybe they have cheapened up the rubber in the diaphragms and I know its hard to get good stainless steel.
Either way its worth noting!!
With shipping costs what they are, ultra concentrates are the future.
I/We just need to be ready to manage their use!
