New Build - Choosing Between Kleen-Rite PSP600 and D&S IQ Wash SS

Hey everyone,

Long-time reader, first-time poster. We’re in the process of buying an existing property - no equipment on site - and building everything new from the ground up: panels, pumps, vacs, controls, the whole setup.

We’ve put together plenty of research and a solid pro forma, but I know the real-world experience on this forum is invaluable.

Right now, we’ve narrowed our self-serve wash stand options down to two:
Our decision factors are mainly:
  • Local support (60%) - Having strong nearby service and parts availability is a big deal for us.
  • Self-maintainability (40%) - We want a system that’s practical to manage and maintain ourselves.

If anyone has hands-on experience with either of these systems, especially regarding reliability, ease of maintenance, or integration with payment systems, I’d really appreciate your input.

Thanks in advance for the insight!
Curious, since this property was out of service, are you required to go in front of the planning board to approve your site plan? I am in process of renovating an out of service 6 bay SS and the township is requiring a full site plan approval, environmental, water, landscaping, side walks put in... its been 6 months of back an forth with the township to get site plan approval before we can get quotes by my contractor.
