Need advice sizing wire

I need to switch my weepmiser from 110v to 24v to work with my new pumps stand and was wondering what type of wire I can use? I need 3 wires, but all of the wires I see at Lowes for thermostats etc. are only rates 12v. Would that still work? Also, I need to extend all of the wires for my Air Shamees to be able to reach the new control panel. I see two thin wires that are currently being used, but again am not sure what I can get away with size/rating wise to extend those. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Tstat wire will work. It I would use 14/3 sjow cord. Durable and reasonable price. If you don't mind the color you can use an old extension cord.

I'll look around for an old cord to use for the weepmiser. I just need about 25'. For the air shammees, one wire just goes to neutral and the other to the function wire on the coin box. Thermostat wire fine for that one?

Depends. I assume you are talking about the "control" wires. They run 24 VAC. They are relatively small (as compared to the heavier wires that run the blowers). If the "control" wires are inside the same conduit that the power wires are located, the temperature rating of the wire jacket has to be the same as the heavier wires. If the wires are not located inside the same conduit, but are in a separate conduit....that wouldn't apply. They are in a conduit aren't they? If not, they should be.

You should be able to get a gray coated 2-conductor 18 ga. wire from Home Depot or Lowe's, that's more than enough for the Weepmizer and a solenoid. You can certainly use 14/3 wire, but it's overkill and more expensive.

Thanks for the advice. I bought some 18/2 and 18/3 wire this morning from Lowe's and it should work. I checked my other wash and the weepmiser is using 22awg wire.
