Mosmatic Comfort Hose

Anyone use mosmatic comfort hose? Do you like them and do they last? Do they get kinked at the radius? Curious about these. Im currently using Parker 387TC and Parker Push Lock for FB and TF. The push lock hose kinks in the radius after about a year or so. The 387TC lasts me about a year or so also. The cost of the comfort hose is cheaper per foot then when I buy a reel and fittings. Any input pros or cons for the hose would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
I have been using it for a couple of years and generally like it except that it will kink nad gain a memory at the kink point. No problem in the warm months but I have had some occasions where it caused a bay to freeze when it kinked and did not allow weep water to run. It is rare but it does happen and it is no fun thawing a bay in the winter. Other than that the hose has held up well.
 
Ive been using them a couple of years. I like them because of their light weight. They are super light,they feel like the hose you get with those cheap $99 consumer pressure washers. It makes the entire gun assembly much easier to handle and women like that. There is no wire braid inside so it could literally be cut with a knife so I can't recommend it for a wash in a rough area. They are not as durable as a traditional hose. Just had one only six months old bulge out in the center about the size of my fist. I think that is my first premature failure. I plan on changing them all out annually anyway and will continue using them. I did try them as a low pressure hose and they kinked too easily.
 
Thanks for feed back guys. Soapy made a really good point about weep and the kinking. I did not even think about that. Im probably going to just keep doing what ive been doing. I do not want to take that risk. There is nothing I hate more than unthawing a bay in the winter. The light weight is definitely the reason I was considering and it would have been nice to have the same hose for HP and LP but if they kink to easily for LP Like Greg said then I really dont see much of a benefit for me. Thanks guys.
 
We have been using them for several years without any issues with weep freezing or bulging. They do have memory at first, and if you install them in the winter, they may take a while to straighten out. If they had stainless steel ends, they would be perfect.

Are you using them for LP also? What are you using for a swivel saver hose? Soapy did say it's rare for the weep to freeze but I have 20 bays. Increases the likelihood 5x over just a 4 bay wash. I assumed the ends were stainless steel. Guess I was wrong. How quick from your experience do you start getting a kink point in the hose?
 
They have carbon steel ends. I don't have a problem with kinking on the high pressure hose but again I'm changing out before failure along with my trigger gun assembly for aesthetics. They're not perfect but I do indeed like them. I would recommend you try one and you may find they are worth it, especially if you have a decent percentage of female customers. Out of the many I've bought I've only had one bulge out. Here's the picture. That bulge feels as tight as a tennis ball! IMG_4688.jpeg

We do not use them for low pressure. They have memory from the way they are packed in a coil but that goes away quickly in warm months using hot high pressure soap and wax. They do not kink later.

What pressure are you running those at?

They are nice and lite weight which many customers appreciate. They do not last as long as the Continental hoses as my customers can be hard on them I guess. They pinch and break more easily than I expected so we have moved away from them.

Thats something to think about. Ive always used 3/8" hose and fittings. 1/4" hose and fitting would probably make it cheaper than the mosmatic hose and last a lot longer. I like that. Thanks.
 
I have also been using them for several years, had a request a few months ago to use the same hoses at my wash across town so I think customers like them. had one hooked by landscape trailer but the wand broke not the hose!
