At least two washes have been hit in the last few days. Both had entry through the roof and the changers were broken into, one with a torch and one with a prybar (It had only a lightweight padlock).

The weird thing is the crooks are putting the hoppers and stackers back in the changers.

Did either wash have a security system with a motion detector to activate the alarm when they entered the equipment room?

Neither wash had an alarm or surveillance cameras at all, but that's soon to change.

Change and then Change

My best advise after 23 years in the Self-Serve business is:
Change to Tokens (minimizes chance for burglary) and leave the
the rear door of the changer "unlocked" therefore also minimizing repair
costs after the animals have their way with you. Also, leave little real money
in changer over night. Just my 2 "tokens" worth ............
