Job Summary:
The Car Wash Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing all car wash equipment and systems. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and ensuring a safe and clean environment for our staff and customers. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
- Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on all car wash equipment, including conveyor belts, pumps, brushes, and chemical delivery systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems as needed.
- Operate and maintain a wide variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Facility Upkeep:
- Perform general maintenance and upkeep of the car wash facility, including pressure washing the bays and surrounding areas.
- Address facility issues, such as minor plumbing or electrical problems, promptly.
- Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies.
- Team and Operations Support:
- Work closely with management to prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks to limit operational disruptions.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance performed, including parts used and hours worked.
- Be available for urgent service calls to address equipment malfunctions that cause operational shutdowns.
- Assist with other car wash duties, such as customer service or site cleanliness, when not performing maintenance.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Strictly follow all company safety guidelines and protocols.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with federal, state, and local safety standards.
- Clean Driving record
- Proven mechanical and electrical aptitude. Experience in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, hvac, or plumbing is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work plans.
- Experience in a car wash environment is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train a candidate with strong related experience.
- Able to work full time(40) hours/week
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and squatting for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
