whats' your favorite brand? i think free matt cleaning can be a huge differentiator in a competitive market but can become the limiting factor in cars getting on and off the property. the trick i imagine is to make it wait free. do you gentleman use mat cleaners?

Yeah, I pay them $8-10 per hour. Of course I am a fullservice/flex wash. we only wash rubber or plastic mats for free. Carpet mats are washed and extracted for an extra fee.

Rhino-mat is by far the BEST mat cleaner I have ever used. We have one at each of our locations and they have lasted quite well. To run 4-6 mats through the machine is more than reasonable within a 3-4 minute cycle. For self-service it should be priced for value. A setup like the one pictured will run you in the $7-9k range depending on if you need an electrician to hook it up. If you are spending that much to provide it for free, it will need to bring in a significant number of new customers to make it worth while.
