Mars in Hamilton ER-60 giving no credit

I have an ER-60 with a Mars validator thats having some issues. Its worked great for 5 years just cleaning it monthly. Now it will work fine then every so often it takes the bill and gives no credit. When it happened I put the same bill in and it took it real slowly then stopped. It happened twice this weekend that I know about. Is it the validator? If so do I replace or get rebuilt? If not what else can it be?

I can't imagine it would be anything but the validator. Any other problem with the changer that would cause it to steal a bill should turn on the "Out of service" light. Also, the slow pull wouldn't be anything else. I send all of mine to Randy to get repaired.

The out of service light didn't come on. It will continue to take bills.
