Maintenance Tech: Best Candidates

I'm finding that people out of manufacturing automation with the 3 phase motor, conveyor, hydraulics, have the best experience especially if they started in welding or diesel. Gtg some out of the tech schools but having to go over the extra hrs needed and on call nature. Anyone else finding other good spots? We hire like 100-120 base for heavy level experience 10yrs tech in car wash space with bonus, and even relo, but thats an expensive route. We have great branding and culture but we're hoping to raise awareness as many people don't even realize this space exists as a career. Any thoughts appreciated.

People with HVAC training usually know a little electrical, a little plumbing, and experience working with low voltage controls. Commerical HVAC experience would give them some three phase and bigger motor experience. They might make a good place to look for potential hires.
