Main water flow

Railer

Added new automatic touch free and no when all three ss bays and two autos operating the ro machine goes into error. The error occurs when an automatic turns on while other running and the input flow gauge drops quickly. The ro goes into a 2000 gallon tank so I have plenty but sometimes the ro machine does not reset and the tank gets low and then can't keep up. Any ideas? I thought of a booster pump on main but the main is two inch. Thanks

Yes, this would be a problem if you only have a 2" service. I doubt a booster pump on the main would help because your only going to get so many GPM out of a 2" service. You could run your RO system after the wash is closed, set it up on a timer, that way you should always have 2000 gallons when you open and you won't have to worry about resetting it if the water pressure drops. You really need a 4" service for what you described above.

Put a time delay relay in that interrupts your float that calls for the RO to come on when your automatic carwash enter light comes on. Set it for 15-30 minutes. So with this setup you will make ro water 15 minutes after the auto has not had a car enter. If you just have it interrupt it for 5 minutes I would be concerned about damaging your pump motor over time because it would heat with each successive start. If you don't know how to do this it should be a fairly simple job for an electrician. The relay is $30-100 plus a 2-4 hours of work by the time they figure it out. Service size necessary varies dramatically with length of main and available pressure. A booster pump would also work but the time delay relay is a better plan.
