M5 shear bolt breaking

Hello all. Laserwash M5 is breaking shear bolts every 2 to 3 weeks. We are not unusually busy. We used to get 2 months or 1 month if busy.
We did change the arch last summer to the 360 arch.
Also, we had to replace arch rotate shaft last December and changed it again around the first of May because it dropped about a half inch. Shaft and bolt were worn down which allowed it to drop.
This is absolutely ridiculous. 2 weeks on shear bolts and 5 months on the shaft.
Dropped the hp pressure down from 1100 to 900 and it still broke. I feel it has something to do with the weight of this new arch.
I think I'm going to swap it out to the 4000 arch and see what happens or use a piece of rebar for a shear bolt.
I've searched here but no recent issues
Please help
Thanks
J

Are you tightening the shear bolt to the proper torque specs?

Never have in 20 yrs

No wonder they broke every month. PDQ even specifically calls out premature failure if they are overtightened. I'd recommend acquiring an actual service manual for you machine instead of using Google. If you have a 360 arch, get the portion that covers that as well.

It's 20 ft-lbs for those that are curious.
