I believe it would have been more impressive if they would have provided an answer to their own question, what does it all mean?

If people have to change jobs and their lives 10 ten times or so over the course of 14 years, does this imply that rapid technological change is necessarily a good thing?

India has a lot of bright people but it is also one of the worst places in the world to live. Ditto for China.

Finding quick answers on Google is handy for saving time, if the answer is right, but it doesn't teach you how to think.

I could go on and on.

I appreciate technological change, embrace it and use it if it serves my purpose.

On the other hand, it seems as though the people behind technological change often use it to drive society for their own sake.

If they are so smart, perhaps they could nail down the infrastructures needed for harnessing solar, wind and hydroelectric power.

While they were at it they could cure cancer, aids, MS, CF and lyme disease.

They could make my Ipod even smaller and better sounding.

Isn't China where many batteries are manufactured and coal power plants abound (both filthy dirty and toxic enterprises)???
