Long High Pressure Hose for WW Razor

Just replaced mine. Got it from distributor as I didn't want to add to some issues I've had. I hope it lasts a few yrs at least.

Please take note ! If you replace the hose do not cheap out on not using the sprial wrap on the hose again and dont use the old wrap either. change Everything at One Time brand new.

first hose 44k washes (new hp hose from WW is about $750 + shipping). 2nd cheap hose lasted 27k washes ($180). Just installed 3rd hose & was about $165. NOt sure how long it will last. But I ain't paying nearly $1000 for a hp hose. Looks like WW hose is about 5x as much as getting one done yourself.!!

Hoses only break because of two things:

1. They rub against something and wear out
2. They rot out and crack

The spiral wrap helps with a hose with soft outer layer. That type of hose will typically break because of wearing before cracking.

A tough cover hose though will not break from wear and will last until it finally cracks. These hoses last a lot longer. You can feel the difference just by touching them and even by looking at them. A spiral wrap has no purpose in this situation. Just a waste of money.

I use tough cover hoses in IGUS's because they last a lot longer. I use the softer cover hose in the SS bays because they feel better to hold onto and are not as rough.

About 42K washes but I check it for places that may rub on a semi-regular basis and have it wrapped a plastic sleeve. I suspect it just weakens in places from the minerals in the water as the inside of the hose looks very old when we replace them.

What brand of hose are you using

Parker 387ST in Igus's and Parker 387TC in bays. I bought a few new machines last year that came with continental armor coat hose. The worst and most garbage hose I ever used. Stay away from that BS.

Where are you buying your Parker hose? I see KR has the TC, but not the ST
Parker store near me. Ya Kleen rite does not sell the ST. They may be able to get it for you though if you call.

Do you have a local Parker store near you? Watch out for them though if you do. Walk in customers have different pricing then accounts that get discounts. My price for 3/4 is $12 per foot and 1" is $16 per foot for the ST.

If you dont I can always get you the hose if you wanted and make the assembly. You would just have to pay for shipping obviously.

Has anyone heard of the non metal high pressure hose they use them on car haulers
Parker sells par flex which we use for 1/4" hydraulic lines. Works great for that. A buddy tried a 1" par flex hose for HP and it rubbed through in two days. The vibration of the HP I think is too much for that kind of hose while it's in an igus. Hydraulics is alot more smoother and a lot less vibration.
