Lexair Leak

Folks,

Been having a lexair leaking Through the little on the pneumatic assembly. Not the brass fitting that attaches to the lexair. This in on a lw4k. Anybody ever try replacing the circular pneumatic housing on this valve before having to take the brass fitting off. I have tried two rebuild kits, and it's still leaking. Want to try putting just the circular assembly on before dismantling the pump stand. Thoughts? Thanks!!!!

Dump the lexair, and put a dema hp solenoid on.

Hey Wash n Vac. Could you tag the solenoid that you used? I am interested in doing this on my machines. I am assuming in doing this you are eliminating 2 expensive Lex Air valves and also a Mac valve??? How long do the Dema's last? The lexair rebuilds dont seem to last very long.

SOD458PS- $185 at KR. I have had them on two units about 3 years with no issues. There is a repair kit for $56. I do not keep one on hand because I have had very few issues in the past with hp demas. Usually if it is leaking through, there is debris stuck in it. I just take them apart, clean, and put back together. And yes, you dump the lexair and mac valve.

For ease of installation, I just gutted the lexairs and mounted the demas above them. I did have to "T" in the weep on the outgoing side, too. I had intentions of going back and removing the lexairs to make a neater installation, but it just seems there is never time to get around to that. One day, maybe...
