LED lighting

Well once again I'm showing my lack of computer prowess. I'm looking for a 4 or 5 foot LED strip that I can put on the outdoor vac islands. Ideally powered by 120 vac. Could have sworn I saw some on here for around $100 each. Any correct answers will earn you a free auto wash.

Mac you want a water vapor tight fixture something like this or something like this or these

Mac,
Here's my post from 4 years ago...
The lamps are still shining brightly...with zero failures.
The installation involved rewiring the building's lighting circuits.
Your installation will likely require less planning, hand-wringing, and elaborate controls. :geek:
I like the idea of replaceable T8 LED tubes...no need to replace the entire fixture in the event of a failed "integrated" strip LED.

Purchased from www.ledlightingwholesaleinc.com

I installed (16) Maxlite LSV3XT8USE4806 “lamp ready” fixtures with (48) James Industry’s 4 ft. T8 “Magic” 18watt, 5000K LED tubes in March of this year.

16 fixtures with 48 LED tubes: $1,181.76
Installation materials: $476.75
(Mounting hardware, cable, strain reliefs, conduit, boxes, wire nuts, etc.)

Total: $1,658.51

The James “Magic” LEDs operate on 100-277 Volts ac; no ballast or external driver required. Load for the entire 48 lamp system is less than 9 amps!

Operating Dusk-to-Dawn, these LED tubes are should have about 13 years of life expectancy. They’re warranted for 5 years.

With only 6 months in use, I can’t speak to the longevity issue…but, I’m quite pleased with the purchase price, dramatically improved illumination, and reduced electrical expenses.

Mac,
Here's my post from 4 years ago...
I followed cantbreak80's lead 4 years ago and put in the same fixtures. Used 3 bulbs per fixture in the bays, two bulbs per fixture over the vacs. They are cheap plastic fixtures but have held up well with no issues yet. These were the least expensive fixture I could fine 4 year ago.

I also installed three square recessed ceiling lights in the auto. Got them online for under $200 each. Put them in a straight line. Works great, produces more lumens than the old halogen lights, and cost less to run. Looked at the strip lighting for the bay but it was going to cost 4 times more.

is everyone mounting them to the ceiling or the walls.its doesn't matter where i mount them chemical eats them up

My machine is a gantry type, and because they are recessed ,there hasn’t been any issues. Recessed also helps with freaking spiders, which here in FL are a big nusience.
