Karcher Issue

I have an issue with a Karcher unit giving me an error of 'Roofbrush counter incorrect counting". I have already replaced the roof brush counter a few months ago. I have looked at the cabling running to the machine but the wires that the roof brush counter runs in looks good. I even found 2 wires that were not being used and tried them with no luck. Any suggestions???

check top brush up motor . possible short on high voltage side. check bearing on top brush up and down bar
