One of my self serve washes has no bump posts between the bays. For the past 30 years I have used wooden 1/2 whiskey barrels where the bump posts would have been. Over the years I have put a variety of items in the wood barrels to dress them up...flowers, shrubs, rocks, etc. I'm tired of the maintenance and am looking for something to take there place...stacked tires with covers over them, big colorful balls like Target stores have in front, etc. Any ideas?

Has anyone ever hit one of your barrels? I don't have anything there except the end of the brick wall and don't have any problems.

Why not just install bollards? Someone has hit my island bollards multiple times and my bay bollards a couple times. My wahses are not even cramped.... maybe that is the problem?

If you have hollow walls you should install something.

I'd put in bollards and cover them with plastic sleeves, zero maintenance.
