How much should I expect to pay, to have an Air Shamee installed? It is used, but in great shape. have to mount it, run wiring & hook it all up...

do it yourself, then you wont need to call someone to fix it if it breaks, you will know what it needs. its not difficult. power and signal from ss bay. (assuming its going in a ss bay and not freestanding.)

I did it myself. I took the relays off the air shammee and moved them into the equipment room, which made it so I didn't need to run as much wire out to the bays.
I paid an electrician to add the breakers and wire up one of them so it worked (after I had everything mounted and the wires ran into the equipment room and what not) then I copied what he did for the other bays.

I have NO CLUE how to do all that. I also have NO TIME to do that, as I work 2 full time jobs already.

I guess if you have no time nor inclination to learn, prepare to spend $100/hr to have a licensed electrician do it for you. I'd be reluctant to find some freelance handyman moonlighting as an electrician working on my stuff. If anyone is gonna mess it up it'll be me! LOL

Ok, approximately how many hours to have an Air Shamee totally up & running & hooked up the bay?

Mine were new units, installed by the air shamee crew. They spent about 3- 4 hours a unit. That’s mounting the boom, mounting the unit on the bay wall plus running 220vac to my panel and low voltage connections at bay and ER, (I had extra wires and an open position on my selector switch. In my case, I’m running separate 220 volt for the shamee...I’ve seen these share circuits with the pay pump, I’d assume the only savings would be the cost of the breaker.
I’d guess you’d be best having a handyman of some sort install the unit and then get your electrical guy to run the lines.

we just did it ourselves and installed one in our busiest bay. We attached a timer to it to calculate the payback. It isn't used that much, so our payback will be about 4 years (keep in mind our cost basis was much lower, since we did it ourselves) Thus I haven't bothered to install it at any of our other washes.
Chaz says the company crew takes 3-4 hrs per bay. And they install a lot of them. For someone new plan on double that time. And just be aware of the national electrical codes. By code each unit needs a dedicated circuit and breaker. If you are in West Overshoe, KY it might not matter, but at least do it to code if you don't use a licensed electrician. All of the ones I've done in FL have paid for themselves in one to two years.
