In bay dryers, what’s YOUR favourite?

Wonder if people would struggle to hold the hose/nozzle without a pistol grip? I'd buy a strain nozzle for like $15

I have the air shammee 3 motor design over the years, they blow very hard with a air logic nozzle.
My #1 complaint is a pita design is the plastic manifold that ties all the motors together the flex connectors come apart a whole lot and are terriable to put back together a bad design. Someone will know what i am talking about after fixing them. I just ordered some new ones from KR to see if there is any better. Here is a picture. I have even tried to build my own manifold with sched 40 pvc and can not get it short enough to work out. Terrible design if someone 3D printed the manifold with long nipples we would have something.

Can you add a short piece of pipe and push the hose onto the pipe and then use the hose clamp? I have that same black manifold with the hose going into a fernco coupling. Because the hose is going on the inside of the coupling with nothing for the clamp to press into the hose will come out sometimes. If there was something inside the hose for the clamp to press on it would certainly help

Eric i cant add nipples to it bc it throws all three motors off and the type of Y fitting it is there tappered so they cant accept nipples either no slip no schedule 40 pvc pipe is compatible.
I am sure I am not the only one with this problem, however this is probably on the first gen style mine are older and they might have corrected it. Thats what I am hoping for anyways, even thought about getting a fab shop to make aluminum manifold but that would get pricey. I will know immediately when I get the new manifolds in the mail

Are you using a screwdriver or drill to torque the hose clamps? Put a piece of uni strut upside down across the top with clamp around the base of the manifold. Then put two threaded rods one on each side securing the unistrut to the mounting plate. If the manifold cant move then it cant go anywhere See attached pic for ones I built but your unistrut would be upside down. If you can fit the 1 5/8" unistrut under the manifold and bolt it directly to the plate then you wont need the threaded rod but I dont think you will have room for that.

Asking for a buddy… what replacement motors do you use for the air logic dryers. A buddy has gone through like 15 motors in less than 1.5 years since replacing these from originals that lasted longer. He’s been using shammee motors which I said may be the problem for that system. Thx

I’ve never replaced an Air Shammy motor.
How is he burning up motors? Does he have so much use that the brushes are wearing out and damaging the commutator?
I had 15 Air Shammee motors and 21 Domel motors for units I built myself. Most of the Domel motors are still in use. Waxman has 2 of my old units that I built. I think he had to replace 1 motor. Those units have to be over 10 years old.

These motors intended for the air shammes dryers. I try to change out brushes at 200 hours to maximize life.

But he has an Airlogic 3 vac motor dryer, no support now since out of business. Kleenrite was unable to provide my friend which motor specs were intended for this system.

The first year or so few or no issues. He Didnt swap brushes and had to replace motors which he replaced with these. Hes had a lot of issues since replacing with these motors.

Thats why I was asking which motors people use with the Airlogic system only.

His was is in a very hot environment in the summer. I think that has something to do with it when someone uses the dryer for 10 mins straight in 100 plus weather. But then again it was hot that first year or so with few issues.

Thx
